Local Involvement

Existing programs are generally eager to have extra help, and assistance is available to set up programs in areas where stream monitoring is not currently being done.  If you are interested in getting involved with the WAV stream monitoring program, check the local programs pages or view a list of local contacts to see if there is a program in your area. You can also view the Monitoring Brochure pdf (209 kb) for information about getting involved or call Kris Stepenuck at 608-264-8948 or e-mail her at kris.stepenuck@ces.uwex.edu

Furthermore, an e-mail list server has been set up to help facilitate networking between volunteer stream monitoring programs in Wisconsin. If you are a volunteer stream monitor, a local monitoring coordinator (including teachers) or interested in what sorts of things are on-going in Wisconsin that are related to volunteer stream monitoring, then this list is for you! Learn how to sign up for the list server.

If you are currently conducting WAV monitoring and are not listed on the local programs pages please complete the online form to register your program. Online registration form >>
