Recruitment postcard (892 KB pdf)

This postcard was designed especially for WEPP Partners' use, with an area left for you to include your contact information on a label. You can get printed copies of this from Gail Epping Overholt. Note: If you mail this postcard in your recruitment process, it requires a $0.42 stamp.

Informational brochure (935 KB pdf)

Citizens are often approached by curious individuals who pass by as they conduct their monitoring. This brochure was designed to be printed and carried with your volunteers in the field. It helps explain the WEPP program, its goals, how the data are used and how others can get involved if they are interested.

Volunteer Position Description (128 KB pdf file)

This is designed to inform citizens about expectations we have for them as WEPP participants, but also to let them know what expectations they should have when assisting with this inventory and monitoring effort. You can print the position description from above to hand out to potential volunteers or you can refer interested citizens to our website where the information is also posted at http://watermonitoring.uwex.edu/level3/WEPP/WIephvol.html

Midwest Ephemeral Wetlands brochure (641 KB pdf file)

This colorful brochure was designed to help readers understand what an ephemeral wetland is and the importance of this quickly vanishing habitat in the Upper Midwest. Photos with short descriptions make the brochure very effective. You can get multiple copies of this brochure from Gail Epping Overholt.

Press release about the 2008 WEPP season (13 KB pdf file)

This press release is one you can use to share with local media outlets in your community. It shares highlights of the successful 2008 monitoring season.

 

Recruitment presentation - This file (4 MB) is in pdf format to all ow you easy online viewing of the presentation Gail Epping Overholt developed for your use at recruitment sessions for volunteers.

Equipment List

This Excel file contains a listing of equipment needed to conduct the ephemeral ponds monitoring. Notes are included about specific items where a cell has a red triangle in the corner. Mouse over these to see the notes.

 
Enrichment Education Opportunities!
Partners are encouraged to offer educational enrichment sessions for volunteers. WEPP Coorindators will sponsor these events.Click on the link above to view a flyer with more details.
