Are You Interested in Conducting Total Phosphorus Monitoring At Your Site?

WAV has allocated limited funding for 2017 to encourage active WAV citizen monitors and/or WAV monitoring groups to obtain total phosphorus monitoring data at their stream monitoring site(s). To allow all interested individuals and groups the chance to use the available funds, a short application process has been developed. Final sites will be selected based on the qualifications of the volunteers - participation in the WAV program in the past and ability to attend a training - as well as the needs of DNR biologists regarding the selected monitoring site.

Use the links below to learn more about this opportunity and to access the application. The application is an online Google form. If you have trouble with the form, please contact Ilana Haimes for a PDF version. If you chose to use a hard copy of the form, please make sure it is postmarked by the application due date to be considered. If you have any questions about the application, please contact Ilana Haimes. The deadline to submit applications is Sunday February 19, 2017. Applicants will be notified if their site has been selected by March 15, 2017.

If your stream site is selected, in order to be a TP monitor, you must attend a total phosphorus training. If you have attended a training in the past, please note that on your application. As trainings are scheduled, they will be posted on the Events page. If you have not yet attended a training, please plan to attend one of these sessions.
