Annual Volunteer Stream Monitoring Symposium
Since 2006 the University of Wisconsin-Extension and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources have hosted a statewide gathering for citizen stream monitors, local program coordinators and others interested in volunteer stream monitoring. The Symposium is an opportunity for networking and education.Use the links above to access information about these Symposia.
This year, the 2017 Water Action Volunteers Symposium, will be held in conjunction with the Wisconsin Lakes Partnership Convention at the Holiday Inn and Convention Center in Stevens Point. The Lakes Partnership Convention will run from Wednesday, April 5th - Friday April 7th. The WAV portion of the conference will begin after lunch on Thursday, April 6th and run through the end of the convention on Friday, April 7th. This year’s Lakes Partnership Convention theme is Minding Our Waters.
There will be a special Citizen Volunteers stream within the conference that will feature speakers from WAV. The annual Wisconsin Volunteer Stream Monitoring Awards will be presented on Friday, April 7th at lunchtime. To submit an award nomination, see the Awards page of our website.
