Wisconsin Lakes Partnership Convention

The 2016 Water Action Volunteers Symposium (April 1-2, 2016) was held in conjunction with the annual Wisconsin Lakes Partnership Convention (March 30-April 1, 2016) and the Citizen-based Monitoring Conference (April 1-2, 2016). The theme for the conventions was Celebrating Volunteers. Keynote speaker Kris Stepenuck taught attendees about the importance of citizen science and volunteer stream monitoring. Please join us for this opportunity to:

  • Better understand how volunteers contribute to help DNR meet monitoring needs
  • Build your knowledge of one of the most common pollutants in Wisconsin's waters - phosphorus
  • Obtain the latest information about aquatic invasive species in Wisconsin's streams
  • Share your news and hear from other local monitoring groups about their ongoing and upcoming activities
  • Network with other citizens and groups participating in volunteer stream monitoring
