5th Annual Volunteer Stream Monitoring Symposium

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, University of Wisconsin- Extension Environmental Resources Center, and River Alliance of Wisconsin are hosting the 5th annual Symposium for volunteer stream monitors, local program coordinators, county, DNR and UWEX staff, and others interested in volunteer stream monitoring as it relates to assessing urban impacts in your watershed. Please join us for this opportunity to:

  • Hear from Department of Natural Resources Secretary, Cathy Stepp
  • Learn about impacts to our watersheds from urban activities
  • Discover how sturgeon and macroinvertebrates are affected by urbanization
  • Find out about what to monitor and how to monitor from scientists and volunteer monitoring groups that have personal experiences to share
  • Network with other citizens and groups interested in this topic

The Basics
Dates: March 16, 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM and March 17, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Location: Concordia Center for Environmental Stewardship in Mequon, WI

Registration Fee: $20 by February 17; $30 after that date. Register.
